So this week on April 7th, I turned 22!! I love that my birthday week always tends to fall near Spring Break, so I always get to relax and enjoy some time off for the occasion. I had a great Birthday celebration last weekend with my family that was great, and chose to spend my Spring Break/ Birthday up at my Mom’s house in Orange County. My friends Mel and Garrett came up for a few days to hang by the beach and enjoy a relaxing few days. We spent most of our time laying out on my rooftop, with a beautiful ocean view, sippin on Vodka Margaritas, and some great tunes. On my actual birthday, we had an amazing dinner at Cannon’s Seafood Restaurant with a perfect window seat overlooking the cliff and Harbor in Dana Point.
Since we had been laying out all day, we lost track of time and had only minutes to get ready so I tried to throw together a Birthday Dinner Outfit on the fly. I recently got these adorable creme boots from BCBG, and have been wanting to wear them everywhere and with everything so naturally I whipped these out. I’m wearing a super cute teal cut-out dress that I borrowed from my Bestie Mel (her bday was April 9th). Since it was still in the 80’s when we went to dinner, I decided to go for a light-weight jacket option, wearing a black and white speckled sweater . I paired the outfit with my creme boots and white/gold DKNY watch I got as a birthday present from my Aunt last weekend. My earrings were also borrowed from my friend Mel, and they are teal/gold triangles from Forever 21. If you noticed, I’m also wearing a tiny silver heart necklace from Dogeared, that my brother got for me and all of my sisters for Christmas. I love how tiny and simple it is, and if you have noticed at all I’ve worn it in many of my other outfit posts. It’s one of those jewelry pieces thats so simple and understated that you can get away with wearing it basically all the time (at least thats what I do). LOL
One other announcement! If you were wondering if the site looks different, it is! I am currently still trying to switch everything over from a previous site-builder I was using to WordPress, which I am MUCH happier with. However, it is taking me some time to get used to the changes and trying to navigate the new site, so hopefully I will have all the changes and finishing touches done by next week. I wanted to keep the posting consistent, so I decided to keep posting while the site is under construction. Thanks for standing by.
