I hope everyones having an amazing weekend thus far! I’ve been super busy the past two days attending the Los Angeles Lifestyle Bloggers Conference 2014, and it has been such an amazing learning experience where I’ve met some amazing new friends and contacts. Who knew there were so many creative minds out there in the blog world!
If your like me and paisley was one of those prints that you tried hard to stay far away from, I’m about to break that barrier and show you how Chic a Paisley print can be. When I think of paisley, cowboy bandanas immediately come to mind, and chic doesn’t feel like a word I would use within the same sentence. Paisley is also a very common print seen in Bohemian styles and again not typically associated with the word Chic. I decided to put together a super chic look, using a beautiful paisley print blouse from Nordstroms as my centerpiece for the whole outfit. The blouse is very lightweight with many beautiful spring purples and nudes, that I knew would pair perfectly with a creme high-waisted skirt I got from Target. Pairing a busy print with a nude or solid color textured fabric, can help balance the look and still create a visually interesting look. The outfit is paired with a buckle ankle-strapped light brown heel and a matching brown oversized bag. Also, when you have a busy printed shirt, there is usually a lot going on to look at near the face. So when choosing jewelry pieces that will complement a look like this, choose something that is simple but still adds a special element to your look. I chose a pair of dangle gold and brown earrings, and gold bangles from Topshop. To create ultimate chicness in a great look like this, wear your hair back in a cool ponytail style or top knot bun, and you’ve now transformed yourself into a Chic fashionista! I wore this outfit to Day 1 of the Blogger Conference I attended, because it wanted to look businessy but still be very fashion forward. Hope your inspired by this look! I would love your feedback, so don’t hesitate to comment, like or share this look! Also, please scroll down the page to view a closer look at what I’m wearing and for more details. Have a good weekend Ya’ll! See you Monday.
